With 37+ years of experience of various CAD applications, including AutoCAD, Revit, BricsCAD, DraftSight, and MicroStation, combined with a varied background in training, technical, and sales, I have built my multidisciplinary training and coaching consultancy business, CADFMconsultants (www.cadfmconsult.com), from the ground up.

As an Autodesk Certified Instructor (ACI), Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP), and member of the Autodesk Expert Elite (EE)  program, I provide a wide range of services globally. Also, as a veteran Autodesk University (AU) speaker, starting my AU speaking career in 2006, I am an active AU Speaker Mentor, assisting first-time AU speakers to develop their AU classes for a global audience.

I don't just work for Autodesk either. I'm a LinkedIn Learning [in]structor and subject matter expert for Dell (Inside Circle), HP, AMD, and NVIDIA. I am also a Certiport subject matter expert, providing my educational expertise in creating professional CAD examination content. I am also a 3Dconnexion Ambassador.

Having been made a Global eTraining (GeT) Ambassador, I am also responsible for the promotion of the GeT brand and training platform. Their intuitive AI-powered learning tools provide an extensive range of courses on the majority of tools and software utilised in the AECO industries.

I also have learning content hosted on the Udemy platform, including AutoCAD, BricsCAD, and DraftSight courses.

I own the Not Just CAD brand, which started way back as a regular blog and has developed into a LinkedIn newsletter and official podcast. I also write articles for the official AutoCAD blog on the Autodesk website, the Autodesk Community, and AUGIWorld magazine. 

With an avid interest in current technology, I have a keen interest in how this can be used to enhance the learning process. Not Just CAD is the place to read, listen, watch, and, most of all, learn!

I am thoroughly enjoying getting involved in reality capture (ReCap), working with drones and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to generate 3D models using photogrammetry and LiDAR scanning, and when not surrounded by CAD, BIM, and drones, you will often find me with a guitar, singing and songwriting.
